Jalousie is a tango written by Danish composer Jacob Gade in 1925.
Harry James first began to perform Johnny Thompson's arrangement of "Jalousie" in 1942. He didn't get around to recording it until November 1946.
The James band also recorded it for Capitol in 1955.
This live performance is from shortly before Juan Tizol took his valve trombone to Duke Ellington's band for his second stint with Duke.
This live performance from the roof of the Astor Hotel in New York, is played at a faster tempo than either of the James studio recordings.
