I started following the NBA in the 90s so there is obviously a lot I haven't seen but that '01 All Star Game is by far the best I've ever seen and one of my greatest ball memories.

This was so enjoyable to watch - Noting two of my favourite players having a conversation. Stephon is my second favourite of all time closely behind Iverson. I absolutely appreciated all of this. The fact that Crawford is also flourishing in his post-NBA career is awesome, too. J Smoove deserves it. One of my favourite YT videos, this right here.

I was born in 1990 so for me, this kind of conversations, when retired NBA legends and heroes of my childhood talk about the insights of their beginnings, challenges among with the support & love & respect they show to each other, brings a pleasant mixture of nostagia and joy.

I’m saying the team around him wasn’t conducive to his talents, he didn’t have a true scoring big on his team , a high flyer he could throw lobs to, and a shooter. I think if you put him on lob city, they get it done one of those years, sorry cp3 but marbury was a better scorer and teammate

Starbury was one of my favorites in that draft class. He was gritty with a smooth but wreckless style of play. Him being from the trenches of newyork makes it even better due to being a rucker park legend. Annnnnnnnnd if no one caught that reference to "he got game". That movie is a basjetball classic played by a now HOF ray allen depicting steph Marbury who is a new york legend. For all of you young folks go watch he got game with ray allen and Denzel washington. Also hes the first black man in current times or possibly history to have a statue crested for him in china. Ive heard the stories about chinese people dislike of us in places such as new york. Seeing them put their ideologies, stereotypes, and dislikes to the side for this man who brought them millions, fans, ratings, and 4 championships says a lot. Lastly, bro is literally at peace with life in china. His aura seems complete and humbled.

"If I get 1 or 2, I already know Steph gon be looking for me". Something Brunson has yet to even begin to master. I love dude as a scorer...but he ain't shyt as a PG! If you're skilled enough to get your shot anytime, you should be able to draw & kick. Esp when a shooter is hot. (For me, Grimes's struggles was JB's fault)

I played professionally in china for a few years and one time our team played vs Steph team… I was giving Marbury a few buckets at beginning of game…and then he turned up…I ended up with 10 points and he had 43 and 12 assists…it was a humbling experience…but he was nice enough to give me a pair of his signed starbury sneakers after the game…
