@@OsirisDiamonds She is a lucky woman an you a man of great taste sir! In the Netherlands engagements aren't that big of a deal and my husband didn't propose with a ring. But I love him anyway. He did make the effort to propose to me by the biggest rocks he could find, a so called hunebed, a neolithical grave place, because it's an eternal monument. So he did indeed propose with some very large stones, LOL.

In the market for an engagement ring. Whats your thoughts on lab diamonds ?
@OsirisDiamonds
5 жыл бұрын
Hi Jack. I am not against it. If tested it is 100% diamond at the end of the day. Only negative is GIA doesn't grade them typically, you find them with an IGI Gcal certificate that can be off 1 grade in color and clarity. When you buy keep that in mind, a I color can be a J-si1 can be si2. Depending the buying situation, you may find a deal on a mined stone thats closer in price. If you go to my description box, you will see a link to James Allen, they have some really great lab created options. If you need any help I can help you locate the best option, just email me. Hope this helped.

Do you suggest to buy lab grown diamond? What’s the main difference and selling values afterwards
@Exotic-P

Lab diamonds are for smart people. Natural diamonds are for super wealthy people that don't care how much they lose

Lab diamond's have basically no resale value while natural diamonds might rise in price or lower in price depending on the future of the diamond market.

What are your thoughts on IGI diamonds?
@OsirisDiamonds
4 жыл бұрын
Hi Brian and thanks for commenting. They are a pretty good company BUT can be known to be off a shade on color or clarity. I tell my clients for a natural diamond shop GIA or AGS, for a lab diamond, all you have is IGI so just know they may be off a shade.

How can I tell online if inclusions are white?
@OsirisDiamonds
4 ай бұрын
Online has zoomed in images that are very clear, the fact that you dont see a large black inclusion means its most likely a white one. You just have to see the cert and look for the inclusion. Sometimes its closer to bottom of stone or sides which are harder to see.

is it possible to buy a stone with 0 to little inclusions online? or is that an impossible feat?
@OsirisDiamonds
5 жыл бұрын
Yes of course, they have flawless diamonds, and vvs1, vvs2 is literally a spec on a microscope. You can choose this route, however expect a large price increase. VS1-VS2 is somewhere that is more affordable and the inclusions are so small under magnification. The si1 range is the one you have to be careful with. However, once you find a good one( plenty of those) you can get a large stone for a price thats amazing.

@@OsirisDiamonds ohh i see. I particularly like ovals but online they always seem to look a little off. does the size help decrease the noticeability of any flaw?
@OsirisDiamonds
5 жыл бұрын
@@DiaN-do3jm Every diamond shape has there pro and cons, fancy shapes like oval have a lot of possible issues. The shape can be to short or too long. The depth may be off giving the stone a strong bow tie effect, this isnt a problem exclusive to online, you will find the same problems in retail stores. Expect you wont have fancy lighting covering flaws. Online its a clear vision of a diamond. If you are looking to buy an oval, please email me at infodiamondcity@gmail.com and I will guide you.

It's actually very common for people to buy these kinds of diamonds online, they are sold on James Allen, Blue Nile and even on Etsy with GIA certificate, you just need to specify the characteristics that you prefer. Clarity grading (F = Flawless/No Inclusions), (IF - Internally Flawless), (VVS 1 and 2 = Very Very Slightly Included), (VS 1 and 2 = Very Slightly Included), (SI 1 and 2 = Slightly Included), (I 1, 2 and 3 = Included). If you are interested in investing in diamonds, then you must go for the highest grades possible... but if you're only looking to use them for everyday wear then I wouldn't suggest for you to buy the highest clarity grades because you would be wasting so much more money on stones that would look just the same to the naked eye, Ex: (a 1 carat flawless and a 1 carat VS2 diamond would look exactly the same to the naked eye. You would actually need to use a x10 loupe magnifying lens to see the inclusions in a VS2 diamond)... however, if you intend to buy a diamond over 2 carats then you would want to upgrade it to VS1, because the inclusions might be visible if you stick with VS2, this is due to the bigger size of the diamond... (I'm mostly speaking about round brilliants though). VS2 is the "sweet spot" for diamonds in the 1 carat range and below. yourdiamondteacher.com/diamond-4cs/clarity/vs2-diamond/ www.diamonds.pro/education/vs2-clarity-guide/

Do you have to pay tax and custom for loose diamonds when ordering from Australia?
@OsirisDiamonds
4 жыл бұрын
Hi brother. I am unsure. I have been told that depending on what country, one site maybe better than the other. I would check by adding a stone to a cart or just contacting customer service to be sure. Adding a stone then pretend to make a purchase and see if they charge tax in the cart.

Gia is not a jeweler. They don’t sell they grade. I’m not killing an industry. The internet is slowly eliminating the middle man and have shown considerable upside to shopping for diamonds. Blame the internet for a industry that’s changed. Online is ideal Especially if you know what to look for. I am simply helping people find the right diamond online and helping them avoid a buying mistake. If they found me online. May I ask. Do you shop on amazon or go to Walmart?
