The coast guard and navy vessels have louder, ear piercing horns than the Cargo and Cruise ships? I thought they were all the same? I don't know which specific ship or boat in general has the loudest, most ear piercing horn in the world?

I don't know either but I do know that when the Coast Guard vessels sound the horn it hurts my ears sometimes.

And why would the horns on military vessels be louder than those on gigantic cargo and cruise ships?
