'Sometimes' has lived with me for many years, I've listened to it regularly, know it intimately, even played it as our first dance at our wedding. The problem with being so familiar with a song is that you can lose some of the impact you had when you heard it the very first time. So when we saw them perform it with the orchestral arrangement in Manchester last month I couldn't hold back the tears, to hear a song I love played with such beauty and emotion was overwhelming. Felt like listening to it for the first time again, felt like hugging my nearest and dearest on the dance floor again. What a band, thank you James

If I understand you correctly, you're asking how good the _regular_ release of _'Seven,'_ ie, the _non-orchestrated_ version is. _'Seven'_ was the first album I'd ever heard from *James,* way back in 1992. I first heard the song _"Next Lover"_ played on the radio. It kicked off my obsession with this talented group. In other words, *_I highly recommend 'Seven.'_* You can sample it here on *KZitem.* Be well! 🙋🏼♂️

This is amazing. I'm looking forward to this release. "She's A Star" has never been a favorite James song, but this arrangement brought it to a new level. "Sometimes" was already great, even though it jumped in and stays at that level. This was so great, a natural flow. The orchestra compliments the songs so well. The arrangements are reimagining the focus of each song. I can't wait to hear "The Lake" and others!

I found James through being a fan of Eno, so my first introduction was their collaboration album Wah-Wah, which at that time in the early nineties was groundbreaking and I have followed them ever since, in the hope that such originality would manifest again.I have seen glimpses of it in their albums that followed, but sadly their commercial desires overshadowed their creativity, I guess we all still have to pay the bills........
