When Anderson and Webb got to less than 2 seconds of catching Jett did he not gain almost 2 second that next Lap? I'm no Bubba but I do doubt that Webb could have caught up with Jett Love your show Mr Stewart

Love the new segment from Stew. I think he's kind of downplaying how good Jett is though. He said all through MX that Chase was faster and Jett just had better lines, and now he's saying Jett wasn't really any faster than Ando or Webb at A1. To me it looked like Jett was at about 80% speed at A1 and could have stretched it out whenever he wanted to. In the last 2 laps of the heat race he reeled in Webb like he was standing still. Sure he tipped over but he was definitely going a lot faster when he needed to. If Webb had passed Jason in the main and caught up to Jett I'm positive Jett would have gapped him.

Thats a lot of speculation coming from a nobody against a man who is regarded as one of the best ever on a dirt bike.

@@simpdog1463 not really any speculation going on. We've seen Jett manage races and only go as fast as he needs to. There's no reason to think A1 was any different. Also the best racers don't always make great analysts. Go look at Carmichael. Dude is an absolute moron but he's fast on a bike.

Coop had good pace but didnt Jet end up with an 8 second gap after he turned up the speed?

Jett didn't even really turn it up. He just stayed consistent while everyone else fell off. Jett looked like he had a lot more in the tank and could have gone as fast as he needed to. There's no way Webb was catching him.

No Cooper and Jason started battling that battle knocked them off from 2 seconds to 7 back. They had to double into the rythem after the finish

Jett has trust in the bike, and trusts the bike do a lot of the work. He lets the horse have It's head, so to speak. Hence why he doesn't grip the bike with his legs. He lets the bike do It's thing. He doesn't fight against the bike for absolute control, which is obviously going to be faster. Right? "Less is more". Jett does less, not more. I.e. A bike will get through rutts faster and easier, on It's own, than it will with a rider trying to control it through the rutts. Don't believe me? Find a rutted out section of track, time yourself riding through it, then ghosty the bike through the same section. I'll bet the house the bike will get through that section faster, and easier, without you on it, than it will with you, trying, to control it through that rutted section of track. Now do you get what I'm saying? Jett is as much a passenger, as he is a rider. That's why he's faster. And it also requires a lot less energy and effort. "Less is more". Total control is way overrated, it requires a lot of hard work and effort. Consider that. Let the bike work for you, by not working against the bike. "Give the horse It's head". Guide the bike. Let it do It's thing, Assist it to do It's thing, don't try to force the bike to do what you want it to do. That'll just slow the bike down, and use a lot more of, your, energy and effort. Obviously.
