Alison comes from a heritage of opera singers, and her voice is reminicient of that kind of innate vocal talent. I used to live next door to her, knew her mom and dad. Was there when she won a Grammy in about 1993. Her VOICE us PURE GOLD!!!! 🎵🌟🌹

Alison Krause has one of the most pure voices I’ve ever heard. Not sure that’s the correct description, but her voice is absolutely amazing.

Oh I think as far as female singers go Linda Ronstadt is at the top and all others are below her. Emmy Lou Harris, Dolly Parton, Allison are all good but Linda is the absolute best.

My mom's favorite song .i really didn't think these 2 could do it.but to my amazement their great.im with my man Willie teers in my eyes.moma left Jan 14 1014.but I know she's listening an watching.she was a Angel on earth.now a Beautifull Angel in heaven. Miss moms every second.of my life.but so glad she didn't have to see the world we are left in.. God bless.🙏

Every time I hear this song it reminds me of what a General told us before deploying to Iraq. His exact words, "If you are ever in a position to decide to give in or fight till the death in combat and about to get captured by the enemy, you are better off fighting till the last breath is taken." It didn't mean much to me at the time, but knowing how POW's were treated and tortured I now understand his words. Its best to be taken by an Angel than your enemy.

This is a country masterpiece. Jamey Johnson is right up there with Merle, Waylon and David Allen Coe. Allison Krause is in a league of her own. Country just don't sound like these two anymore.

You should listen to her more. She's won more Grammy's than anybody else. Like, 27. Her band is Union Station and they are all excellent musicians. She's very versatile too. Her album she made with Robert Plant won Album of the Year I think.

We played this song at my Father’s funeral. I will probably have this song played at mine. Allison is something else. I want to thank Jamey for carrying on that older country sound.
