he was a jingles singer and also sang on "the lords of flatbush." joe brooks was a big jingles writer and used him for both films...

I wish someone could post a video of this song from the movie. I remember that scene where an airplane takes off on a bright sunny day. A perfect blend of music and cinematography!

It sounds like an airline ad jingle . A well-written song nonetheless.

Pretty melody. Never heard this before now. I was searching for information on singer Jamie Carr; singer on most songs from the movie "Lords of Flatbush." However, I happily landed on this site. Thanks.

Been looking for this song for a long time. Could you send me an mp4 copy so I can add it to my music library? Would appreciate it very much!

joe brooks composed the score for "if ever i see you again," "lords of flatbush," and "you light up my life." jamie carr sang on a lot of jingles for joe in the 1970s when he made it big...so did kasey cisyk, who sang "you light up my life" in the film. didi conn lip-synched...and debby boone did it later under joe brooks; direction.

Yep, knew all that. I just hadn't heard this song before. Yeah, Debbie Boone and her powerful connections stole the song from Kasey. Kasey, attempted to sue but to no avail; Daddy Pat's connections were too big to prevent his youngest from getting the song and eventually (ugh) an undeserved Grammy; imho.

That much I do know. I also know he worked under a different name with others like Ron Dante, I was looking more for pix and what he has been doing since. I do appreciate the reply. Thanx PG PS I hope you check out MY stuff on youtube as Butch Philips.
