For those who can't afford some of the ingredients which I highly doubt, Here's a quick delicious budget version of a burger sause: 1/3 table spoon mayo 1/3 table spoon ketchup 1 table spoon mustard Apple vinegar (depending on taste) (recommended 1 table spoon) Sugar (depending on taste) (recommended 1/3 tea spoon) Garlic powder 1/3 tea spoon This recreated version is created by me btw so if theres misunderstanding you can ask me Thank me later

When you say substitute, What do you mean? You can't get it and want something similar? Or you don't like it and want something else to replace it? You don't have to use it or anything like it you know, It's something Jamie adds as a personal touch. I'm pretty sure the sauce will turn out good without it.

What do we use if we don't have one of those "Mustarda Di Cremona"
@Amalkiri
8 жыл бұрын
+saleh aburashids you can imagine it like a spicy sweet onion sauce with a gentle mustard aroma. to replace it, i'd gently cook some sweet onions (like shallots), maybe some garlic, deglaze with some white wine, maybe even white wine vinegar, add water, salt and sugar. let it sit for a while, let it cool to room temperature and then mix it with some mustard. i haven't really tried this exactly, but it should leave you with something similar.
@SalehAbuRashid
8 жыл бұрын
+Amalkiri i dont use wine, or any alcohol. Is there an alternative solution for wine?
@Patm994
8 жыл бұрын
+saleh aburashids the alcohol content goes away while you cook it. If you still don't want to use it, maybe go for some cooking wine? I think it doesn't have any alcohol
@Amalkiri
8 жыл бұрын
while it still has some alcohol, most of it is lost in the cooking process. cooking alcohol is just cheap wine since you won't taste what kinda wine you used to deglaze. you use wine for the gentle sourness it provides, that's why i sometimes use vinegar mixed with some water. white wine vinegar is one of my favourite vinegars and it doesn't have any alcohol in it since it's lost in the procedure to make it vinegar. i tested using lemon juice to deglaze but it burns and tends to lose its sweetness so i'm still figuring that out. deglazing is important because it scrapes off the residues that stick to the pan and that adds a deeper flavor to what you're cooking.
@Raykkie
8 жыл бұрын
+saleh aburashids Maybe start cooking some balsamic vinegar with onions, then when it start to caramelize adds either [water+lemon juice] or [vinegar], bit of chilly and a pinch of salt. Cook it until you judge it good enough and that should work fine and will be free from the taste of alcohol

8 жыл бұрын
That its 2 unrelated things, like saying if you dont have a knife you can cut it with a piece of bread. The taste has nothing to do, and also the texture. So, if fot you, anchovies and olive oil taste like mustard, congrats, you dont need any recipee.
@testaccsolutions6784
8 жыл бұрын
+Alvaro García that's completely ludicrous coming from a person like you. For a burger sauce, you can basically add anything that you desire, not necessarily needing to follow what's actually written on the recipe. It's all boil down to a person's perception and taste, not everyone likes the spanking heat of the Mustarda Di Cremona. Well heck there's no rule saying that one cannot add in anchovy fillets into the sauce. The question of whether can anchovy fillets be added in was merely a question being raised, rather than having it being brought down to political judgement as a whole. Its just a sauce dude, lighten up.
@testaccsolutions6784
8 жыл бұрын
+Alvaro García Furthermore, having mentioned that a knife and a bread, well, you practically don't need a knife to cut a bread, you can tear it apart, be rustic about it. Not everything has to be sliced into perfection like the ones you normally dine in at a Three Michelin Star Restaurants. Point is this, if you want to dissect a bread, there are plenty of ways to do it, but there are certainly different methods to go around it. Same goes for the sauce. If you want something different, try something else. Its not like if you place in anchovy fillets, its the end of the world and you have all your customers stop patronizing your restaurants because of it? Not everyone's taste buds are easy to please. Just my 2 cents :)
