Sorry about the COVID (I had it 4 times)...Tank looks AWESOME bro...I was actually looking at your pump placement and the surface agitation you are achieving...Are they NERO 5's?

Thank you!! Yes all 4 of them are Nero 5's. I had the MP 40's for a long time but now that I have these I prefer them. MP40's are in storage as a back-up. Thanks for watching and the kind words!

What’s the verdict please on the man made live rock?? How much water per week does your big tank evaporate? Are you Canadian? That’s your basement, nice house dude!!!🫡🇺🇸

So far I like it. was a nice refresh on some of the 10+ year old live rock I had in there. Easy to set up the way you want, customize to fit you tank. According to the ATO log it fills between 1.7 and 1.9 gallons a day. Yes I'm located just outside of Toronto (Ontario). Thanks dude. Been in this house for 24 years now..

Hi Eric sorry to hear about your COVID, hope you're on the mend, great video, do you still feel the need to water change so often when you're dosing all for reef along with the potassium and iodine as everything else in the tank looks good or is it just belt and braces

Thank Jim. Feeling a lot better today. Good question.. my main reason to keep up on the water changes is nutrient export. I just don't want the levels to get out of control and have a crash on the tank. 10 gal a week on a 140 gal volume isn't large (7%) and it seems to be working. Hope this helps! Thank you for watching!

@@My525XLRedSeaReefer just did some maintenance tonight. You don’t even want to know where my nutrients are at! Keep in mind, I’ve done I’ve done (3) 40 gallon water changes on a 130g total system volume in the last 5 weeks. Alk 8.6. Cal 400. Mag 1290. Nitrates somewhere between 50 and 100! And phosphate pre water change was .049 but 15 minutes after water change, .22?! Maybe I stirred a bunch of shit up? I’m going to retest nitrates and phosphates tomorrow and report back. I know I shouldn’t change too many things at once but, I recently set up a refugium which is doing surprisingly well, and I start rinsing my diy fish food a little better. Pair that with water changes more often and hopefully my nutrients come down to a reasonable level! Fingers crossed!

@@MikeLemming Yes you probably stirred up stuff in the sand bed.. that's normal. I would do regular, gradual changes as you mentioned. Crossing my figures for you! Just finished testing my nitrates and phosphates this afternoon; nitrates are 14.9 and phosphates are .11 but all the corals seem to be happy so I'm go to run with it and keep up on my 2X 5 gal water changes a week.
