This is THE most helpful video on beading a Chatelaine! Thank you so much, Jan, for making it simple and easy to see. Now perhaps my beads will lay straight!😀😀

@@JanHicksCreates , hi. I have done most of the middle section (no beads) got a bit bored with it, moved onto the Taj , have one full Taj and part of another done and one Paisley corner. I am on f/book if you want to see it. I am stitching it on Moonlighting by Sparklies, it's a dark fabric, so is a bit of a challenge on the eyes. I have a great light for about a year now so that has really helped. x

Thanks for the demonstration on beading. I have a piece that I have yet to begin and this info has certainly cheered me on to begin it. And this is such a lovely piece that you are working on here. As for the keto diet, give it some time and you will start feeling much better. The first few days of being away from carbs is tough but I know you can do it.

Thank you for the advice about making the full x for the beading...it's great that it's that easy to make them lay flat and behave! Would love to see something on interfacing if you ever record another FFO. Something about the type and ironing it on and the purpose of it would be awesome!

Thanks for a great beading tutorial, Jan - really clear and helpful. Lovely to see you work on your Chatelaine again. I'm gradually kitting up a Chatelaine and you've inspired me to speed that up so I can actually start working on it! Liz x

The problem you had with your thread is something that tends to happen all the ti.e to me. Somehow I pierce through the thread as I'm stitching. I am trying harder to keep the thread far away from my needle when it's in the back of the project. I know you didn't enjoy it, but it was nice to know I'm not the only one this has ever happened to. Love your stitching!

Jan - the other day you said you would show your new method for organizing your floss. Since you influenced me to buy the Wine Storykeep (I think that’s the name) HAED pattern, I would love to see what you’ve come up with. It will be my first HAED and I need a good way to organize floss. Haven’t bought it yet - waiting for a DMC sale. Thanks!

Yes, I recorded my Flosstube video this morning, but there is apparently something wrong with our wifi or the cloud or something, and I am having a heck of time transferring the video over to my iPad so I can edit it and upload it. It will happen eventually, and all of your questions will be answered. Lol. Stay tuned! ❤️

Jan this is beautiful.l am just trying to bead ,but l am using invisible thread and it’s a nightmare,so is it ok to use white thread on a light blue fabric with different coloured beads ? I am really struggling with this invisible thread ( and l cannot see it ) that doesn’t help .this mandala is truly beautiful Jan.

I use 28 DMC needles and bead with those when I have a project that includes beading and cross stitch like my Mirabilias. But you do get that occasional bead that won’t fit on the needle. I just hate to thread the beading needles as the eye is so small. But now that I’m getting my second cataract surgery done, it might not be a big issue. My first test will be to tackle my 40ct project after surgery. I’m so excited. Wednesday is the big day! I have to say the colors of your chatelaine are gorgeous, but could you show an overall shot of it? I’m curious to see what it looks like. Thanks Jan. And of course hurry back to my favorites your bookmark, and Shades of Gold! Love them 💕💕💕 Bye for now! 🙋🏼😊

This piece is amazing!! I understand beading better. Thanks. I think your floss is getting messed up because you’re not bring it all the way through. I used to have problems when I did it that way. 💕

With regards to your silk, it looks like you sewed through the thread when you were stitching. I have done this in the past.

That must be what happened, but I can’t figure out how. I guess I wasn’t holding the floss out of the way like I thought.

Hi Jan beautiful, I bought the amazing Marie Antoinette rose garden chart over the weekend. Today I tried to use knit companion with this chart, I have a Samsung tablet. The knit companion Did not let me blow up The chart. Are you able to use knit companion with this cross stitch chart?

I have the hard copy of this chart, but yeah, I would be able to if I had the PDF. Samsung is Android, right? I’m not familiar with the Android version of the app, but perhaps there’s some setting that needs to be changed?
