It is often claimed that Jane Boleyn, George Boleyn's wife and a lady-in-waiting to Queen Anne Boleyn, gave false evidence against George and Anne in May 1536, that she was responsible for the Boleyn siblings being charged with incest.
But is this really true? Can it really be said that her execution on 13th February 1542 was karma for her actions in 1536?
In this video, Claire Ridgway, co-author of "George Boleyn: Tudor Poet, Courtier and Diplomat", looks at the origin of this claim and whether it is corroborated by other evidence. Was Jane Boleyn the evil woman who set out to destroy her husband and Queen Anne Boleyn or do we need to rethink our views?
