The Scarlet Letter Audiobook by Nathaniel Hawthorne read by Jane Seymour. Movie length.
The Scarlet Letter (published in1850) takes place in Boston MA, in the 1640s. It is a time of Puritan law and breaking the strict code could lead to the stocks, whipping, or hanging. A widow named Hester is condemned for adultery after becoming pregnant. She is forced to wear a large letter “A” sewn on her blouse so all can see her iniquity and shame. The Scarlet Letter was very popular when it was published and has become a classic in literature. I was surprised at how much I liked this profound and touching story. Jane Seymour gives an excellent performance. Enjoy!

Mr. Hawthorne had a happy marriage and three children
Quote: Love, whether newly born or aroused from a deathlike slumber, must always create sunshine, filling the heart so full of radiance, that it overflows upon the outward world.
