as a 10 year old Janet was my first crush....started scrap books on her and wrote once a week for autographed pictures. I out grew that naturally but to this day still I see and understand what it was about her that I responded to...she was beautiful, natural, honest and direct.....and a great under rated actress

LOL. You're very Welcome. She's my favourite actress of all time. i find her acting faultless. Also in interviews ive watched she is just so lovely. Hitchcock said people make movies of people talking, whilst he makes movies of people thinking. Janet leigh relayed this so brilliantly in psycho (and in her other movies) I just found her adorable.

Janet Leigh had the best, nicest all real body, she was perfection, and so, so pretty when she was young, especially in Little Women, unfortunately Janet Leigh aged very badly.

Janet Leigh mentions that her picture will be opening at the Roxy Theater. Alas, the Roxy along with Pennsylvania Station, the Metropolitan Opera House, and the Singer Building is among the great New York buildings demolished in the 1960's.

P.S. I almost fell off my chair though when pompous BENNETT CERF figured out who the mystery guest was and inquired, "Are you JANET LAY ?"

thats right. A touch of evil, psycho and the manchurian candidate. That was a poll 100 greatest movies, she was the only actress to appear in 3 of them. All brilliant movies.

Probably in more great films than any other actress in hollywood history. Or that's at least according to one renowned critic.

Read here that Jeanette Morrison was her real name; also Duke's real name: Marion Morrison. I'd love to c on youtube the interview Carson had with Duke, asking him, "Did anyone ever make fun of your name when you were a youth?" Duke replied with grave demeanor: "One did." Carson took that to town with his usual double take at the camera: "Are they putting daisies on his grave?"
