This video is dedicated to Ms. Ryoko Hirosue, one of the most talented actresses in Japan/the world, who has received numerous awards which includes an Academy Award in the U.S. From a small child, Ryoko was athletically AND academically talented, so if she wanted, she could have been an Olympic athlete for track and field, representing Japan. She did attend Waseda University, one of the top universities in Japan, despite her demanding schedule working in the entertainment industry from a young age. Ryoko is strong-willed; whatever she sets her mind to it, she achieved it. Her family and friends felt that Ryoko as a little girl would become someone famous someday, and indeed they were right.
For a long time, Ryoko kept her childhood dream to become an award-winning actress. It was not just becoming an actress but an "award-winning" actress, and this dream was achieved now. In Feb 2009, "Departures," the film Ryoko played the main heroine won the Best Foreign Language Film Award for the first time for a Japanese film at the 81st Academy Awards held in Hollywood - Los Angeles, California, U.S.A. Ryoko attended the award ceremony, along with director Yojiro Takita, and co-star, Masahiro Motoki; and she received the award.
Ryoko had a longing for an entertainment career from an early age, and when she was in her first year of junior high school, she got an assignment to write what she wanted to be when she grew up. She wrote clearly and precisely: At the age of 15, I make my debut as a fashion model, and at the age of 18, I enter the entertainment business to become an actress."
BEST OF LUCK to Ryoko!! Hope she plays many more interesting, challenging roles in not only Japanese films but also European and U.S. films. Ryoko has already been cast in French films a few times.
The dark side of Japan's entertainment business is that Japanese actors and actresses are often targeted by "illegal Koreans" who disguise themselves as "Japanese film producers" or "entertainment agents." The more Japanese entertainers become successful, the more these illegal Koreans try to destroy their careers and reputations... out of jealousy and envy, perhaps. For instance, recently, a man who claims to be "Ryoko's husband," an illegal Korean, sued Ryoko for leaving him. This guy tried to destroy Ryoko's reputation and career by calling her a "slat" who sleeps around. Frankly, Japan is way too lenient with these illegal Koreans and Chinese who do NO good in Japan at all; according to Japan's police data, over 70% of crimes and over 75% of sex crimes are committed by these two groups of people among all foreign inhabitants in Japan.
Thanks for watching...; please give a massive thumbs up! My videos are sort of related to each other, so enjoy others as well. Peace out... to all the beautiful souls out there in the world. Cheers!
