Its was fun watching specially the apple juice tasting game! One day I hope of riding the stove train too. Thank you for this awesome video. Love from the 🇵🇭🤍
This is one of the most poetic & beautiful video productions of how charming Aomori can be. Thank you for sharing the excellent footage & awesome work on your English subtitles! お疲れ様でした🎉
Once again, thank you so much, Hige and Watashi, for another excellent video. I live in Australia and I know I will probably never get to visit northern Japan but thanks to you I feel I have been there. Somehow, you manage to capture the essence of the places you visit with your camera. You have show us so many great experiences.

@@lexipau Oh, I have been to Japan twice already and I love it, but I doubt whether I could venture into the same places as Hige and Watashi without knowing the Japanese language. That’s why I like their videos so much - I feel they expand my horizons in a way I couldn’t do myself! Cheers to you!
ありがとうございます! 2年ほど前に見つけてくださっていただなんて、、、😭嬉しすぎます。 Great to hear from Canada and 🦑&🍶 on a train is so good!!

Hello Hige and Watashi just finished watching your video about exploring northern Japan, loved every detail and every capture. My personal favourite clips were your visit to the Nambu Saikori Society, the Standing Neputa and the Beauty and Wisdom for life exhibition. Really like your aesthetic sense. I am fond of crafts and I have been extremely keen on learning the Sashiko stitching technique. Do you know of any online Sashiko Institutes or Organisations which I can contact? In case you do could you let me know? That would be a great help. Thank you so very much and I absolutely admire your videos!!!

Oh gosh! I am usually miserable when the weather gets too cold, but this video and the last have made me want to follow your footsteps (with extra socks) in this region of Japan during Winter. ✈❄💙 I think that having to walk carefully in the snow made it better to see the sights around you too. What a labour of love for citizens to restore that Tachineputa. It's incredible. I've fallen in love with the textiles and boro that you have shown here. I make handstitched textile work so this is where my heart truly lies. I've recently been researching the beautiful and light bashofu of Okinawa that keeps the wearer cool. No less amazing than these densely stitched pieces to keep people warm and protected from that harsh cold in the North. Not to mention those mino (is that right? Straw cape/rain cape) to keep the rain and snow off the body. I could talk about the art and craftwork of textiles forever, haha! Thank you for sharing this trip with us all 🙏

Thank you! Yes with extra socks 😉🧦 We’re so glad that we can share this beauty in Boro textile. It’s brilliant you know the Bashofu from Okinawa, all those natural materials are truly gift from the nature to our life aren’t they. Would be great to talk about crafts and textiles!! That’s what we love and appreciated too🌿

What an inspiring trip which I noticed greatly on how bright Hige San socks from bright orange red to bright green. Plus little worthy site to revisit, old-school typography displayed on wooden setting with minimal light 1:13, Stove train, the little white car making a U-turn created a 'U' 11:47, the laughing joy from you 13:02, tree of cotton bud in the dark 14:18, tiny strings carrying the words 19:00, and really liking the shorts recap starting 21:15. Fun way to ends this vacation episode.

It’s so interesting to learn about other places/cultures/traditions through your eyes. Even better that I don’t have to leave my warm bed haha! Often, the best part of trips are the unplanned parts. I went on a trip to Oxford and one night we ended up at a “lock in” at a pub and people were playing folk music/drinking/singing. It was the highlight of the trip!

So beautiful and full of history. I hope to be able to experience the stove train too. Hard to imagine so much snow but it makes sense to take it from the streets out to the sea lol. And the last episode was so fun, another cultural experience.
