Love from Vietnam🇻🇳 Linda-chan My family is going to the beach tomorrow so we had to wake up at 3:00 AM in the morning...it will be a challenge since me and my sister are deep sleepers...mostly me...the reason why we're gonna wake up at 3:00 AM is that we want a good sunrise picture

I was thinking the same thing. I was trying to order matcha kit kats, the cost was crazy. Almost $23 a bag. I'm going to try my local Asian market and see if I can buy the stuff there to make my own.

assuming more yummy corn goodness goes into the rice when she cooks it this way -when we 🇨🇦 cook corn in boiling water - that extra flavour goes into the water which gets thrown out - does that make sense 🤔 our local fresh corn is still another month away - but if I can get a better knife by then - will definitely try cooking corn differently 🤫 my grandparents grew corn all their lives and only ever cooked corn one way - wonder what they’d think 😉🤭 thnx for sharing - love learning new ways to prepare favourite foods / meals 🙏🇨🇦

After you cut the corn off of the cob you can take the back of your knife and gently scrape the cob to get the cream from the corn its my favorite part of the corn just make sure to do it over a bowl and it can really add to a corn dish (only on sweet corn usually)

I always make corn rice during the summer, it's so good! 😍 We love corn. Corn rice, karaage or tonkatsu + bulldog & kewpie (especially with yuzu) yuuummmmm. We always add corn to our CoCo Curry sauce, and Pizza-La teriyaki chikin pizza with corn is one of our faves. 💜

I have said this before but I still am amazed at how inexpensive groceries are there compared to here. For example, today I bought a week, maybe a little longer, of groceries just for one person and converting the total into Japanese yen, it came to 38,350 yen. And, while I did get some seafood, I didn’t get any meat. 😰. So, I always enjoy seeing your shopping trips. Hope you’re having a great summer!
