That's a lot better than the Fire alarms in the UK. You can hear each other talk. Here in the UK it is so loud you cannot hear each other which is dangerous in itself.

My secondary school had one that was loud in the building, but now when you were outside, so if you were outside when the alarm went off quite often your first clue was people going towards the tennis courts. In the building it was really loud, which I think might just be a UK thing. As soon as you were outside, you could barely hear the thing. Once I arrived right when the first bell went for tutor and saw no one outside the school and got real confused. I saw teachers stood by the pathways and then saw everyone in the tennis courts where we gather during fire alarms. I took off my headphones and only then did I hear the alarm.

Did you know that some fire alarms in the UK have voice evacuation messages for large areas like London Underground stations?
They have voice systems in Japan? My school has a conventional panel, in the main building does two beeps, outside it’s an intermittent high pitched fast whoop and in the porta (permanent) cabins where my class is they have Firesmart sounders on French tone

Im guessing all the alarms in japan are like this or its just like the laws for fire alarms here in the USA if the building is 6+ floors there has to be a voice evacuation alarm but i dont know what the fire code laws are in japan but they are definently better than the ones at my school

All fire alarms sound the same in Japan. I think the US should do that system too. Creates less confusion.

All of the fire alarms are like this in Japan as it's a standard even in your homes there systems like this. It's way better then just a loud buzzer in the US.

Awesome, my school has voice evacuation fire alarm as well, but it's not this detailed. It just is like "whoooo whooooo There is a fire in the building blah blah please go to the nearest exit do not re enter the building unless authorities have cleared it whooo whooo"

Like this voice evac system! Pinpoints the point of outbreak, and also pre-recorded sound clip for cancelling a false alarm
