How are people mad about a client straightening their hair?! It’s like when someone wears makeup and people say they looked better natural. How about we let people do what they want with their bodies?! Her hair is as beautiful before as it is after.

To each their own. This looks beautiful. I understand the need to straighten one’s hair. It’s easier to maintain…Personally, I have locs and I love 💕 natural hair. If you take care of your hair it doesn’t really matter what your preference is.

I heard that this Japanese thing actually causes the hair to NOT revert back or have a hard time reverting back to our healthy curly and coily strands... Straight hair is actually NOT the beauty standard and my people need to learn to love EVERYTHING our God has given us...

For me it’s not about beauty it’s about manageability. Having a perm or hair like this also means less tangles to deal with. I don’t like the look of cornrows on me I’m skinny and they make me look like a teenager even though I’m in my 30s so I’d be combing my hair daily into a bun and it’s just painful and time consuming
