great video , i learned something new from it, for repairing Japanese blades, most blades i get are stainless , and i 95% only have to re-sharpen them, the rest i regrind with my bench grinder, if i have to to reprofile the blade then re-sharpen. i am looking at possibly buying or building a 1 x 30 belt grinder in the near future. love the videos , thank you for sharing your knowledge and expertise

I have a question on your mobile business about how much do you make a month? I would like to learn the business.

Quality 1x30 belts are hard to find where I live and postage from the USA sometimes costs more than the items I'm buying. I just bit the bullet with a US supplier who had reasonable shipping rates but not exactly what I really wanted. I then settled to watch some KZitem to take my mind of the money I just spent and stumbled on to one of your videos. (Great vid by the way. You scored a new subscriber). I then clicked on the link to your shop and I think my screaming woke up the neighbour. I now have a ship load of second choice belts making its way across the Pacific. You have a number of items that they didn't have and as soon as my wallet stops burning, I'll get get back to you. Very informative videos and a great shop. You are a find, even if you showed up a half hour too late.

Nice job! It looks like you attached something onto the platen part of the grinder. What kind of material is that and how did you do that? Thanks

I see that you set up your platen like district cutlery does, I'm assuming that its the same setup of graphite tape attached to a cut piece of standing mat?
@CurryCustomCutlery

Yes something similar. Ryan and Murray Carter both. I'm using a rubber slipper under the graphite for that extra cushion. Lol

Nice work Cliff!! Was that a piece of scotch Brite for the soft platen? Also, do you sell scotch Brite wheels with a 5/8 arbor diameter? 😁

Graphite tape over a couple different things. Just testing out. The blue thing is a rubber slipper 😂 Scotch wheels are 5/8 arbor and I have the spacers coming.

would a longer/higher than stock platen give you better clearance for the handles on a stock rikon?
