Thanks for your nice words. The feet are traditionally fitted with sliding dovetails, and it makes sence too as they help keep the board flat and don't just fall out easily if they shrink a little. They aren't glued because of the cross grain orientation. That said, you could just screw them on through slotted holes. For a little more mechanical strength, set them in shallow dados too. Have fun with your build, and I hope you enjoy the result.

That's great. Look forward to hearing when its done.

About 30" x 8" x 2". Still very useful at this size. Don't worry about the sizes on the sketchup model too much. If you generally work with smaller or larger components, scaling down or up may be appropriate. Let me know how you get on if you build one.

Thanks for sharing your experience with us. The videos are very useful and interesting. I have a question for you: is the dovetail necessary? I don´t have some of the tools you do, router plane for example, so I´d like to know if it´s possible use another joint for the feet. Thank you once again and congratulations.

On accuracy. While with the shooting stop I would only be interested in some tips, I'm completely at a loss with regard to how to control the right angle of the rail. I mean, even uneven ( ;) ) clamping pressure may throw it out of true by a degree, assuming the stock for the rail was perfect.

Two ways around that. You can true it up with a shoulder plane once assembled. or, any slight error can be corrected for by using the lateral adjustment on the shooting plane. A point to note is that, unlike free planing of a board, errors are fixed and not compounded by each subsequent pass of the plane.

I'm sorry, but I don't get the bit about how errors are being different in fixed vs free solutions. Where's the additional error coming from in the free solution.

Forget the Planing Board right now.....you obviously need need to learn how to use a Japanese SAW, first.
