@@PatrickBoykins-yp5wxnonsense! It took some effort to fight for a border bill then refuse it at the behest of a felon because money was gonna be sent to defend the Ukrainian children from the #1 global producer and exporter of "indecent films starring children" (I won't even TYPE it!) who is also kidnapping them en masse.

Very strong speech from the Japanese Prime Minister. Unapologetically touting the shared values between the United States and Japan, especially freedom, liberty and democracy, and upholding them not only in our respective countries but around the world. It is so refreshing to hear the leader of a major country speak so forthrightly about his deep belief and commitment in our shared values. I hope the leaders of our nation hear his message and continue to stand firm in support of our allies and other nations who share or aspire to these ideals. The United States will be more secure and the world will be a better place if we remember who we are as a people and the values that our country was founded upon. History has taught us that everything that’s worthy, including peace, needs to be defended and at times requires sacrifice. Let us not forget that in this troubling times. Lastly I am grateful that Japan has been such a close friend and great ally of the United States over last many decades. And sometimes it takes a true friend to tell us what we need to hear.

Yes, Japan has been buying Russian oil above the West's $60 per barrel price cap, and has no plans to stop. In the first two months of 2023, Japan purchased about 750,000 barrels of oil from Russia at a price of about $70 per barrel. This is more than the Western price cap of 60 dollars per barrel. The price cap allowed non-EU countries to continue importing Russian crude oil but prohibited shipping, insurance and re-insurance companies from handling cargoes of Russian crude around the globe, unless it is sold for less than the price cap

The Republican reaction to Kishida's defence of Ukraine was just sad and disgusting. They felt Trump's eyes on them as they dithered about being in favor of democracy or authoritarian map making. McConnell thought about joining a standing ovation .. when it was over.. and the Speaker of the House kept his lame hands folded. America ... You have a 3rd column inside the house.
