I have the Namco Encore boxset from Japan which has Rolling Thunder on it. Comes in a big gate fold box which opens up with the Encore game disc in there, with 5 spaces for the N A M C O predecessors. My N A M C O collections are all USA editions which are housed inside. Pretty good hunt, although my tastes are more expensive so even if not buying, please cover the expensive show cases. I'm done with all the cheap games in Japan apart from maybe 3 games, the rest are hard to find rare games.

Thanks! Always appreciate the feedback, I agree we should be focusing more on DS and PSP. I have to admit that I neglect the DS specifically because it's a pain editing the dual screen footage lol. I love handhelds and should be beefing up my handheld collection for sure.

Had Alien Storm on the Mega Drive when I was young. Thought it was fun, but with my critical adult eyes on, it's probably more do-do than my nostalgia thinks ;) Some great selections there, hope you can showcase a wider selection of platforms on your streams and videos (Neo Geo AES/CD, Sega Game Gear, etc...) but appreciate you can't show everything all the time and ultimately no complaints either way :)

I actually show Wonderswan (Color) and NGPC any chance I get as I'm a fan of those but other than in specialty shops like Surugaya they're unfortunately few and far in between
@fanglord13
12 күн бұрын
@@4amLaundry The NGPC was something I was only vaguely aware of until recently, it's a surprisingly cool little system with some decent games. Will probably stick to emulation for those unless the urge strikes me or I find a bargain. Knew nothing about the Wonderswan at all until earlier this year, partly due to your coverage of it, so happy to see all the wild, weird, and wonderful consoles/games Japan has to offer. Such an amazing and vast library that a lot of us in the west have so little knowledge of :)
@4amLaundry
12 күн бұрын
I'm surprised that after all these years I'm also constantly learning about cool stuff we missed out on in the west haha, as a fan of handhelds I'd love to get my hands on a NGPC one day, that's one console I don't mind paying a premium on.
@fanglord13
12 күн бұрын
@@4amLaundry I'm sure you're acutely aware, but shouldn't pay more than Y9k for a loose one and Y15k for a boxed one. Outside of Cotton (that game is crazy expensive!), most games are pretty reasonable. I get the impression that as soon as seller/resell store sees the Neo Geo logo it's a license to slap a big price on it. So rare to find anything resembling a bargain on the NG front :(

7/11 Japan just took over the Australian branches and have remodelled to be more Japanese. Its really nice as we're starting to get some Japanese exclusive foods now like Onigiri and the Rice Balls/Sandwiches. Certainly brings back Conbini memories, even if it isnt exactly the same.

Do you sell games on Ebay? I collect a ton of stuff(not vintage games..yet). I am able to make a living dealing in the stuff I collect, plus I am able to expand my collections. Is this how you are living in Japan? My buddy collects vintage games but is totally against selling any. He's sitting on a fortune and doesn't really have a ton of cash but he doesnt care.
