In 2020 my then 22 yr old son was in a UTV accident. I got the call 12 hours after it happened. Initially I knew nothing other than he was in ICU, three hours away. He fractured 2 vertebrae and severed his spinal cord. He's a T9 paraplegic now. Knowing he was all alone that whole time and being so far away was the worst feeling as a mother. The not knowing was gut wrenching. While not the same as cardiac arrest, the unknown for a few days was terrifying. My God watch over Damar and his family.

What will always make this show amazing is the unique brother relationship of Jason and Travis. This episode, more than ever, I feel we saw Jason take the big brother reigns. Jason has always been described as the "ethereal thinker" of the two, so it's no surprise to me that he seemed further along in the process and vocalizing of the thoughts. @NewHeights Man much appreciation for both of you especially as a chiefs fan but also as human beings. I love these pod casts. When I was 17 a buddy of mine and I had to give cpr to someone close to us and it was tough because we had like 10 people around us and no one else knew how. Seeing this game live it was tough man definitely triggering, I honestly hope to God Demar is okay and I appreciate you guys getting on here and talking about it. I'm so thankful he's got a chance thanks to those medics because our friend wasn't able to have a chance. Prayers for Demar and his family, friends, teammates and the entire nfl.

I was watching when it happened. I was terrified to think what could have been and was praying the whole time for Damar and his family. Thanks for being so honest gentlemen about how you feel. You're heroes to me. Please stay healthy.

You two are amazing!! Thank you for being you!! Thank you for just giving us a glimpse of how you are feeling & most likely how all players are feeling. So thankful for how the medical team handled this! And that Damar Hamlin is doing well now too!!

I don’t know either of you personally but I send love to you both and thank you both for going to your best resource each other to talk about this and it’s effect on the football community!

Shout out to you two for stepping up and, like always, putting the human condition of NFL football into perspective. Also, props to McDermott for having the stones to step up and say 'we shouldn't be here right now' and to Zac Taylor for having the empathy to go along with what the Bills needed at that point. It is easy to do what you are told, it takes real testicular fortitude to stand up and put your player before an organization as massive as the NFL. And shout out to the NFL decision makers who listened to the coaches in the arena and didn't try to force the completion of the game.
