Of which he and his wife received a joint $65 million dollar advance from Penguin Random House's Crown Publishing Group for their respective "memoirs." Which is ridiculous, but I guess if people are gullible enough to buy a copy, more power to them. Or his charges of as much as $400,000 dollars for "speaking" engagements. Again, gullible people! More like Insane People. They have made a few donations here and there, heck, I do that myself. He's still earning around $200,000 a year from his presidential pension as well. Obama is worried about the upcoming election, that's for sure. Even speaking directly to Biden about his campaign. Pulling Strings on the puppet. You know damn well certain former Presidents wouldn't ever let themselves be seen as Jimmy Carter was at his wife's funeral. That he was there shows strength, humility and love; things he's always had since I had a chance to meet him, briefly, as a cub reporter in 1976. Respect this man as he slips into the eternal, as all of us will.

Dad was Republican. To learn who Jimmy is has been a joyful lesson. I learned to question. I've never been happier to learn I was wrong about anything, than when his life came to light. Stopping a nuclear meltdown was barely mentioned. This is an American Hero!

I recall growing up always hearing how Carter was one of the worst presidents in our history from adults. I ended up reading one of his biographies and learned this man was so much more. In reality this man is ONE OF THE GREATEST PRESIDENTS in our history. He has shown what true leadership is (learn about how he saved the world when he served in the navy).

It’s always been a PROPAGANDA MYTH foisted on us by the right that Carter was bad . Any Presidential scholar will tell you he was adequate at the very least . I think if he had been re-elected his second term would’ve been even better . You have to ask yourself : what is the motivation the right has for making Carter a whipping boy ? I think one reason among many is that the right wanted to see itself as being more moral and that’s hard to pull off with Jimmy Carter sitting there . So they had to demean him . They also had to demean him in order to make what followed him look better than he was
