I remember as a nipper in the late 80s I hung around on the park/kids playground near to my house. It was in a quietish area and was surrounded with railings and was next to a side road. There were many older kids than me in their early to mid teens that used to hang around on there. Anyway, every time a moped came up the road all the kids would jump off the swings and run to the railings and shout “moooove funky moped!!” doing the revving action with their hands. I never had a clue where they got it from until 35+ years later I come across this video! 😂

My dad bought me my 1st bike, a Puch VZ 50. 3 sets of main bearings later, I part ex'd it for a new fizzy 1973 model. Doug bought a Fizzy too. The Garelli was the best looking moped at that time.
