It doesn't work for me. I still have to copy the whole path of the file instead of just putting the name of the image. I already importer my image to my projects but still didn't work

In Eclipse you can easily Install the windowbuilder Plug in by going on "help" then "Marketplace" and searching "windowbuilder"

Are you putting the code in the correct place? It can't just be floating around up top with variable declarations. When you have time, read or watch my videos on static variables and methods to u derstand the error. Not a super simple topic but not complicated.

@@gamemakergameprogrammingco4786 @Gamemaker Game Programming Course well the thing is I'm not exactly sure where to put that last bit of code you showed where you declared the jlabel as the Image. On my program I don't have the buttons for pic 1 or pic 2 only one screen. So I'm confused on its placement

@@gamemakergameprogrammingco4786 Thanks for replying, I've had so much trouble with this and other methods which don't work for me. Many methods work but I can't seem able to put them into a method (which is important for this program.) If you may, please look at my code here: anonfiles.com/Tepea9D6ob/Noise2_java and tell me what's wrong

@@gamemakergameprogrammingco4786 hm, looking back, it sounds like adding images to a label, means the computer expects the image to be included in the final .jar that is being ran. I use a somewhat basic sublime text, rather than the automated eclipse. Eclipse would automatically include the image in the final, executed file, making it work. I also notice I see zero people making tutorials for images via labels, without eclipse. bloody everyone uses the dumbed down, automated eclipse. Anyways, looking at old projects, I found I had used a buffered image. I guess that's what I'm after.
