Love these faster paced courses, personally. It was nice seeing how to initialize the app as well and compare that to what I was doing previously.

I think the security rules portion of the video was really under rated. Would like to see what else you have to teach on this! I guess I have not been using the emulator properly in my development, will have to try your configuration

This style of video is awesome. I was kinda tired of those videos where we were treated like a child. This one was very mature and fun to watch at the same time. Great job!

Hey David, Thanks a lot for the Video. It helps. As you have mentioned about "What topics you wanna learn?" - Let me ask you like this. Most of the scenarios these days is 1. A Flutter App with an Auth Screen, Email/Google/FB 2. Data coming from Firebase functions 3. During Login, the User collection is created 4. The firebase function in turn calls the Firestore. 5. A simple form in flutter app to fill some data 6. A simple Table to read the Data with firebase functions Can we have a Boiler plate application with these? Most of us can already create it, but the reason I am asking is that, when we have a Boilerplate, we get to know the coding standards, folder structure and best practices as recommended by Google. I am sure, this will help developers start their App from this pattern and then concentrate on their Business logic.

Really like this style of video and especially since you can jump around to the different sections. Please continue this and topic suggestion: the varying authentication methods including the email link and how you can configure the said email link draft.

This pace is great, just quickly touching key elements and if it's something that we really need then it is up to us the devs to dig deep, the overview given in a video like this is perfect in my opinion

Nice coding style. And this is very helpful because its more advanced and is helping me think about Firebase in new creative ways. thank you. What I would REALLY need is an official tutorial on how to wisely choose data structure for Firestore. I ran into problems in two different apps with the maximum document size limit, which means I don't have a good data structure.

I am a huge fan, Just wanted to point out that @4:21 I think you intended to referecnce the connectAuthEmulator() instead of making a recursive call to connectToEmulators(). Sorry if this is picked up later on. Just first time through this video. Loving it so far. UPDATE: AHHHH you caught this @5:35. Just thought I would leave this for anyone else who gets tripped up on this.

hey David, thanks for these amazing videos! could you maybe show how to use extensions in firebase (for example the "Send Messages with Twilio" extension) preferably, in a slower more detailed way because I am not only new to firebase but also to JavaScript and btw, at 4:20 you mixed up the connectAuthEmulator function with the connectToEmulators function :-)

What would be the rule to prevent the user to modify his own role? Thans for the video. Great as always. Videos like that with other common cases would be perfect. Example : infinite scroll list, modification of element of this list, storage of multiple pictures or documents, add a firebase plugin etc...

Well, to be honest, it’s a bit hard to understand what you’re doing. I just want some basic setup in vanilla JS to post, listen for reads and user auth. But I see a lot of firebase functions used I’m not familiar with.
