I like how she's actually trying to figure out the cause of the pain and not just popping random areas and going "yep fixed it". She's doing an exam and trying to resolve the issue for the patient. @@kundakaps Whole story: I injured my jaw by simply biting on some hard candy and then couldn't open my mouth more than halfway. 9 months later I saw a specialist and got a mouth splint for ~$5K. Wore it for 6 months but things got worse. Several years later I saw a chiropractor and got x-rays which showed I had scoliosis. So I focused on correcting the scoliosis through better posture/exercise and also a strict carnivore diet to build the necessary strength. This has fully resolved the issue and I now know that I never needed the splint or other jaw treatments because the root issue was spinal related. It also resolved the ocular migraines I had for 25 years.

As a chronic TMJ sufferer, my PT taught me how to do that intra-oral massage on myself, and it was genuinely so helpful for me. Often with TMJ it's a lifelong problem, but it has definitely helped me cope on the really sore days. Also see a TMJ dentist specialist for a mouth guard! It puts your jaw into a more protective, less inflammatory position while you sleep. Healthcare is a team effort :)

I tried some at-home remedies, like alternating between hot/ice packs, exercises to help alleviate the TMJ and even bought some Magnesium pills since I found that could play a part too. I went through muscle strains all throughout my back, neck, temples, and jaw and recovered after 4 months. From my observations after 2 minutes of watching this video is that she might be shrugging her shoulder in front of her. This puts a lot of strain on every muscle she's complaining about. I'm also a night-time and day-time jaw clencher. Throughout the day I experience the soreness she talks about. Manipulating the jaw with your hands to stretch it out and massaging the jaw/temple muscles/joints/ligaments/tendons corrects this problem. In regards to her neck, temple, and other muscles; Strengthening the rhomboid, stretching the pectoralis major, and correcting your posture will relieve this sort of pain. I wish her the best in her healing and correcting poor posture/unhealthy habits!

All of my lymph nodes through the side of my neck up through my scalp were swollen for weeks. Doctors were intimidated, and didn't know how to diagnose me, so they gave me the cold-shoulder and pushed me away... Sometimes muscle strains can cause lymph node inflammation. **So for everyone worried, please give yourself time to heal, correct your posture, learn how to tighten your rhomboid, stretch your pecs, and get light massages. I thought I had an infection in my ear, or I damaged an artery in my neck, but it was only musculoskeletal.
