Jawla Cutlet/ Baby Prawns Cutlet/ Shrimp Cutlets or Vade are a great way to serve this seasonal delicacy of small shrimps served with bhakri or Hot steam dal and rice also can be served as great appetizer or a delightful tea time snack served with spicy green chutney into ladi pav.
Ingredients :
Fresh Jawla/ Baby prawns - 2 cups (clean and wash well.)
Onions - 2 fine chop
Spring Onion small bunch
Ginger - Garlic paste 1 tsp
Garlic - 5 to 6 cloves
Green chillies - 4 nos green chili
Bottle Masala or Red Chilli Powder or any mix masala- 1 tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
Coriander leaves - 1 cup
Gram Flour (Besan) - 4 tbsp
Rice Flour- 2 tbsp
Salt as per taste
Lemon juice - 1 tbsp
Oil for shallow frying
Method:
Wash and clean the jawla and keep it to drain in a
sieve for at least ten minutes.
Add all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well
Mix well and set aside for 15 minutes.
Now take the mixture and form patties on your palm.
In a frying pan add enough oil and shallow fry the patties on low flame.
Cook well on one side then turn on the other side and cook till nice and crispy.
