Jay so rad, and so underrated. There are far too few covers of his online, so praise the higher powers that SlackVK’s here to put things right!

Jay may have famously said that he wasn't a fan of Elvis and/or the prevailing rock-n-roll tradition of his hometown/state, etc. I nonetheless hear a good amount of muddy backwater blues and southern rock in this glorious sound - albeit after having it slam a few rails of coke and fly into a bloody barfight-level squall of beautiful noise. RIP.
