Heard Brad Delp do this song live - Brad Delp was amazing but you know what... Even the great Brad Delp had to change how he sang this song to do it live - I played this song for people that said "he's good but he's no Brad Delp" - then showed them a live version of Boston doing this song - they came away with a lot more respect for the both Johns and the Sekulo Band after that.

What a wonderful blast from the past! Jay Sekulow and "his guys" do a great job recapturing the original spirit that was in this Boston classic. Of course, he's got some real heft to "his guys"... like former lead singer for Kansas, John Elefante, and former Petra lead singer, John Schlitt. There is perhaps no more iconic opening guitar riff in the late 70s than this Boston song. Thank you for posting this!

OMG......John Elefante and John Schlitt (Petra). I used to listen to these guys in the early nineties doing contemporary christian music. It's good to know that they still got it!!!! Elefante's voice is still one of the best in music today. Great version of 'Long Time". All I can say is..Give us more.

I could never stand old rockers who don't know when to hang it up and just be grandpa's, like the Rolling Stones, they need to be put out to pasture. But this group has amazing energy and real talent. And those of you who have nothing good to say about Jay, you're just envy filled and sour apples.

The great thing about old rockers is,...they can...please don't knock them until you're an over the hill rocker and days become short and your time is at hand. Unlike many other things,...rocking at an older age is very do-able for many. ...and many can rock younger people under the table. Someday someone may tell you to your face you need to be "put out to pasture"...I'm 54 and play with guys nearly 20 years older and they know their shit. It's their life's work and love of the game.

I am Russian, and I will write here only because I have been listening to the music of the Boston band since 1977 on the Voice of America radio, as a 15-year-old teenager. By the way, it was very hard to hear, because special "jammers" were working on this wave, but my brother and I still recorded it on a tape recorder, and then listened to it all over and over again... So I fell in love with the music of the Boston band for life...they are unique! This cover band performed wonderfully, including vocalists! I'm giving a standing ovation! It's amazing. But, I have to say that there is another American cover band: Lexington Lab Band. And so, about these musicians, I will say: they are real pros! Their performance of this composition sounds better than the original. But every time I am surprised again and again how many wonderful musicians there are in America.
