while, Washington, as of the last 20 years have not been good at developing quarterbacks I firmly believe that it was mostly contributed to Dan Snyder, and with the new regime, I have hoped that will change One thing that I don’t entirely understand why people (ik he rlly didn’t but others) say he’s just RG3 2.0 when Jaden looks for the pass first and is a more natural runner than RG3 is, RG3 was a star converted to a quarterback so he just ran up all the time lol

My hot take is that Jayden Daniels is going to have a 1 for 1 redo of Justin Fields' career except JD has a much better supporting cast already than JF had in his rookie and sophomore years. Better coaching, better weapons, better defense (marginally but still). I just think people really overrate JD's skillset a lot. He is the exact type of player that people give JF shit for being except not as fast, not as durable and barely a better passer from the pocket on anything other than deep balls which are his one leg up on JF1 (although Justin has also never really had a true deep threat wideout to rely on during his career). It's just really funny that Justin was called a bust before he ever had time to develop but JD was somehow viewed as QB2 in this class when very clearly his ceiling is nowhere near the same as Drake Maye or even JJ McCarthy and Bo Nix. I do think that Washington have found a stable solution at QB for the coming 4-5 years while they round out the rest of the team, assuming Daniels stays healthy. I do no think they have found their franchise QB though. Best case scenario is the RG3 route where he is actually great for a few years but retires due to injuries whereas the worst case is just a repeat of Justin Fields' career in Chicago where they trade him before his 4th year and finish with a native top 5 draft pick a few years in a row.
