As he should have. After Jaylen got his massive contract following his awful Game 7 performance against Miami, a lot of people said that he was overpaid. He came back this year more improved, had his best career season, led the Celtics on a dominant run as the best player, won ECF MVP, and now wins Finals MVP. One of the best redemption seasons I've seen from a player.

It was definitely not one of those 'clear cut' FMVPs like the last 3 yrs were (Jokic, Curry, Giannis). It's one of those where one could argue that there should be co-FMVP like 2020 and 2018 finals. But still 2015 one was a highway robbery by those stupid journos and I stand by that take 😂😂

They completely ignore moments, impacts, and winning plays. Tatum showed up in a game that was already won, but when it mattered the most he was no where to be found. He guarded Luka and was still very productive offensively. He was the rightful winner and it was not even close. Empty stats alone don't tell the whole story.

You cannot compare a guy that anyone will remember in 10 years against a guy that is in the conversation for the nba mvp. Everyone can excel facing the mavs defense but not everyone can excel against the Celtics d. Even having a tougher defense to attack, Luka made more points and assists than JB. Doncic is by light years better than Brown. Brown needs good teammates to excel, Luka can excel with or without good players.
