How could you forget the guy on 1st trumpet with an obnoxious ego? If your lead trumpet doesn't have an obnoxious ego, you likely have a wannabe 1st trumpet with that ego thinking they should've got that part instead.

I would have had that in my band, but it's hard for the entire trumpet section to have a shred of an ego when 2 or 3 in the sax section, as well as the bassist were the top improvisers. Now that I think about it 1st tenors always seemed to have huge egos in my jazz band, myself included.

Omg first day of jazz we start sight reading and the trumpets all have to play a high C lets not forget these are all people who don’t usually play trumpet.... omg the BD yelled “THATS SUPOOSED TO BE IN UNISION” everything sounded so bad we couldn’t even play and the BD dismissed us saxes and the bones for saxtionals outside the band room so he could work with the trumpets.... I hope I never have to listen to that terrible sound ever again

this is probably one of the most inaccurate videos i’ve ever seen pertaining to jazz band. if i lost my music, i’d get fined. no one sleeps in jazz band. auxiliary percussion actually plays. solos aren’t handed out, they’re earned. my director would be so embarrassed if i were to upload a video like this, and i’d lose my place in jazz band for cursing. immature.

Our high school jazz band is very chill. It is before school at 7am, so everyone is very sleepy. This is simply a lighthearted video making fun of the stereotypes of most high school jazz bands. If you check out the other comments, you'll see that it really is quite relatable :)
