A short video about the replacement of 2 470uF capacitors on the JBL lsr2300 loudspeakers. They do a humming sound when turned on. It's a quick and easy fix.
Grand merci ! Incroyable de trouver ça ICI sur KZitem! Le magasin voulait 250.- payable d'avance pour faire cette réparation....

I have had my pair of LSF 2325 for 12 years....they started buzzing at about 3 years old and I replaced the capacitors. One of them has a slight buzz slowly creeping back and it also now has a blown woofer which is $65 (price plus shipping but I have to supply the labor). Debating whether to replace them with something modern (like e.g. a Rokit 5" G4 with the built-in tuning capabilities) or just fix this one (new caps and woofer). Agonizing.....and I'm stuck mixing/mastering with phones again.

One of mine is producing a very quiet buzz. With music playing you can't hear the buzz, but with it stopped, in a quiet room, you can just hear it. Do you think this would also fix that?

Mine does the exact same noise but those capacitors seem to be charging just fine. But one of the big 5600uf/35v is not charging, so I guess that's the problem. Do you recommend replacing them with the same type of capacitor or with a better quality one/more powerful? I would like the fix to last for many years :P

Hi Serch. I have this exact issue. Can you please share how you got the panel out after removing the screws? I've removed all outer screws and the 4 larger ones on the bottom of the unit, and it won't budge. Is it glued on as well? I can try to pry it out, but don't want to damage it. BTW, Harman wants $175 for a whole replacement Amp with an 8-10 week time frame to ship. Thanks for any info.

The back of the board has two 10pin plugs that connect it to the inputs on the back of the monitor. Be gentle and wiggle it up. They were easier to remove than the heat shrink connectors at the top of the board...

@@therealalexmullins thanks. But my issue was getting the entire panel out of the cabinet. I pried it open with a knife. There was a strip of liner around the edge acting as an adhesive kind of that was preventing it from coming straight out after the screws were removed. After unplugging all the connectors and removing the logic board with the caps, I replaced the caps with 2 470uF 35V ones. My soldering skills are weak. Took a long time to get them out and I may have damaged the board in the process. Either that or I damaged a connector disassembling/re-assembling because when I powered it back up, the sound was very thin and tinny. Almost like the cone wasn't getting driven. LOUD HUM WAS GONE THOUGH. So I probably messed something up in the process of taking it apart and replacing the caps. Thanks for the help.
