Thanks Johnathan, good video - much easier process than I thought, just seems to tie right in to the existing stock system. Great to know. Thinking about going the same route. I agree with the age related statement as well.

@@jonathanaustin8841 Yes thanks again. So for these type of subs only connection needed is to the speaker wire, ground to truck body and power to battery? No need for connection to factory head unit? If you bout a sub and amp separate could you hook up those the same way? Trying to understand the difference. Will do Whatever needed to avoid from having to route remote to head unit difficult to disassemble

@@Txst21 it’s as easy as tying into the factory speaker wires; when the jbl subwoofer gets a signal from the truck speaker wires, it turns the amp on. For a separate sub and amp setup you’d need to run that remote turn on wire(usually blue) to some power source that would turn the amp on when the truck was started. Hope that wasn’t confusing.
