My wife and I just visited Nakhon Sawan! Her brother lives there with his Thai wife. Their house/store is just a few minute walk from that river! Their store was closed for several weeks because of the flood. Btw, this city has a huge, beautiful public park surrounding an artificial lake.

VIEWERS READ THE COMMENT ABOVE. Thanks for your comment about my video and thanks so much for speaking up as a person living their life part time in Thailand. I appreciate your input and hope one day we can hook up for an interview. Take care and thanks again for your insight.

This place looks interesting. I really enjoyed Mike and the share of his perspective of Thailand. This is one of the reasons I enjoy your videos best out of all; because you are giving us the total picture and not just bits and pieces like a typical tourist cam or someone just talking things up. You give perceptives the up and downs, pros and cons of each location and many times you are learning right along with us as other retirees share their story's and experience's. Great job JC! (FUN)

Absolutely outstanding series of videos JC. You continue to make me wish I was back in Thailand. I'm planning my third trip for next winter now (along with Malaysia). If I make it to Chiang Mai I hope you let me buy you lunch.

A great video JC and I really enjoyed it. I met you a little while ago when you showed me the place on the corner of Soi 9. Moonmung Road great food, I went there a few times. I return to Chiang Mai this November and hope to meet you again, As I told you at the time "it is hard to understand just how far reaching your videos are". So on behalf of us who are not in the land of smiles keep the videos rolling. Koopkun krap Eddie

Thanks for making the Nakhon Sawan videos, fascinating to watch and full of useful info and tips. I'm also 6' 4" so I will have to look out for the low signs on the pavement when I make my first trip in October. Mike was great, he should have his own channel! Did you ask him where he came from? sounded like a London accent.

@RichVoyages Families came to help along with just lack of laziness on behalf of the locals. They didn't have options. They needed to get things back to normal so they "just do it"!

Great video JC, i spend 6 to 8 months a year in Nakhon Sawan for the last 10 years. Have my house there with my wife and yes the flood was really bad my house was in the water for 3 weeks. Great place to live i am not retired yet only 43 but its really a nice place, nice people all foods are avaible, highspeed internet upto 20 mb, cable tv with all mayor channels hbo and all sports channels. Very friendly people there indeed. English might be a little problem but they will always try to help.

Most of the people here just want to hang out so I don't press them for too much personal info. He was a character though. Fun to talk to. I hope to hook up with him again in the future.

Ask your friend how many years since this happened before. Next time will probably be after your lifetime is over. Besides, a little water from a flood didn't stop these people!
