for the past month I've been working on two different projects and this was one of them. Little bit of a slower and more talkative video this time around though giving it a watch through I think I got some interesting footage here. This is not a keyboard review but a technical breakdown, and it's not as well formatted as the ITT video, but there were still things to learn from this board.
Some things I didn't mention:
- The microcontroller PCB is very well designed, has good protections, and seems professional in terms of build quality and choice of components.
- The PCB for the keyboard itself is branded "Topre-39-LI-0101" so I can only assume the switches are Topre. I believe this is a Topre board rebranded as JDL.
- The USB / microcontroller that came with the board is a USB standard device but a large majority of the keys were combinations (like CTRL + SHIFT + X) and some keys would output non standard keycodes, so using the packaged controller is a less than ideal option.
