Welcome once again to Fast Good Cuisine in English!
In this epic episode, I embark on a mission to tackle the world's largest hamburger. But before diving into this unparalleled gastronomic adventure, let me take you on a journey through my culinary experience of one week in Montréal.
We kick-start our journey with a visit to McDonald's to try out the "joyeux festin," as they call the Happy Meal in Canadian lands. En route to KFC, I had an unexpected encounter with a squirrel who, at first, ignored me but got curious when it spotted the food. Turns out they love pistachios as much as I do! By the way, here in Canada, KFC is known as PFK, which stands for "Kentucky Fried Chicken."
Despite enjoying KFC's mini buckets, I still felt hungry, so I set out in search of a local delight: poutine. My quest led me to Au Pied de Cochon, where I indulged in an extravagant version of this dish, featuring foie gras poutine. But one time wasn't enough, so I ventured to try another poutine and encountered a peculiar character along the way.
After so many culinary adventures, I couldn't leave Montréal without trying a Canadian specialty: beaver tails. Thought I was talking about donuts? Those are for the affluent! I opted for a more modest yet delicious smoked dessert.
But the morning came too soon, and in my bag, I carried my fail-safe remedy for short nights: mini hot dogs!
With all these fresh culinary experiences in mind, I gear up to face the challenge of the world's largest hamburger. Will I rise to the challenge? Join me to find out!
