This tune brings me loneliness being far away from my parents. In early 90s, Dad used to play this music when he arrived from the city! We would dance all night long! Oh no, I must fly soon and dance with him to this Soukous music!

There was this shop opposite Gill House in Nairobi that used to sell music casettes. We used to visit with dad on a regular basis to select the latest hits. Continue resting in peace dad, what a good friend you were. I listen to this music to keep the memories alive because they keep me alive.

When I first heard this beat in the 90"s, a car was driving past our street with the driver playing this beat. I couldn't help but ran after the car just so I could keep listening to the music till the car went beyond pursuit. Later I discovered the singer is Jean Baron. I went straight to the market to buy my own cassette 😄

Jean Baron was the first loketo member to pass it was reported that he died of cancer complications at a Paris hospital then bladin wabacha followed through road accident in paris.then aurlus mabele last year the other members are still living. Diblo dibala and his group matchatcha have relocated to USA
