I’m going to sound like a weeaboo saying this but it looks kind of like water breathing from demon slayer. Love your content man!

Definitely is flowy and spinny like water breathing. Next I need to find a master with a great sense of smell

Not weird at all, Very smooth action, no swordsman would ever turn their back to an enemy . Looks good though

Thanks! A lot of battlefield sources actually state to cover your head and spin while cutting wide when in a chaotic skirmish. This comes up in Korean, Chinese and western sources as far as I know so it's clearly been effective

Work on the edge alignment. You’ll get docked during testing for that in my experience.

I am enjoying your videos learning the turo. However, when performing Jaetwe bangjeokse, your book says spin to the right, but the video shows you spinning to the left. Further Kim’s translation says spin clockwise (or to the right) This is not meant to be a criticism. I am truly trying to arrive at an accurate representation of the turo. Any insights would be appreciated

Your initial retreat is to the left as described.

@@carlstemm1212 yes, I changed my interpretation after the video. There are a few differences from my videos to the book as the interpretation evolved and changed and I haven't had time to update the videos. Things like hwigeom hyangjeokse being one handed in the vids and then two handed in the book and the footwork for the spinning kyeokjeokse forms. It's changed as we've tested things
