What I've ran across is that the 2005 and 2006 Wrangler's aftermarket camshaft positioning sensor do not meet the same specifications as OEM units. In cold weather the sensor becomes less sensitive and cannot sense the OPDA wheel. You can increase the hall-effect type sensors sensitivity by adding a very, and I mean very small neodymium magnet to the end. Test with the magnet and if you have issues, flip the magnet. On one side of the magnet you will decrease the sensitivity and flipped on the other side it will increase sensitivity.

where do you connect the black lead of the multimeter to read 5V ?

Any good ground should do. Battery neg. would be best.

@@anurag297 Did you pull codes? What were they? Use a service manual and follow the trouble tree. Use your multimeter
