Yes! I just went out and checked... I've put exactly 1,812 miles on the stroker. Being able to telework has spared me from driving 100 miles a day. I plan on doing a ride a long video here soon. I just need to find a way to secure my camera since I don't have a Gopro yet.

Very nice, any updates? I am wondering what would you recommend turbo, supercharger or an LS
@kornybun

Apologies for the late reply. I haven't changed anything since this video. I've just been driving around town now and then. I have another ecu and bigger injectors to hopefully fix the lean part throttle issue I've been having. I just dread tearing into the wiring again. To answer your question, I would say turbo or LS. I wouldn't bother with a supercharger unless it's bigger than an Eaton M90. Maybe M112 or M122 if you could get it to fit. LS would be awesome but I wanted to keep mine somewhat original.

Assuming you chose the HP tuners route?
@kornybun
2 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure but I think that's only for obd2 vehicles. I'm using the Split Second ecu that came with my old supercharger kit and a 100lb 7th injector for extra fueling. I'm also using an off the shelf tune that came on the ecu which I'm sure leaves a ton of power on the table. I have an Apexi Neo and six 42lb injectors that I have yet to put in. That should mostly get me away from the 7th injector. My afrs are all over the place. Once I put the Neo and injectors in and get a better handle on the fueling, I'll be more comfortable going above 10psi. An obd2 or Megasquirt swap would be ideal.

What RPM does it start to spool and build boost? I'm trying to figure out what turbo I need for my stroker ZJ.
@kornybun

Starts to build boost right around 2K rpm. Pretty good match I think.

@@kornybun awesome! What rpm is it all in and what psi? Finding perfect match turbos for what you want is hard lol.
@kornybun

@@carellee8483 I'm not sure of the exact "all in" rpm but it comes on fast around 2k and never drops. I'm only at 10 psi until I get the fueling sorted but I imagine the 6466 has the capacity to push the engine to it's limits. I know what you mean about finding the perfect match turbo. I sweated over it for the longest comparing wheel sizes and who ran what. I remember reading this one guy had a huge turbo on his and wasn't making much boost until around 4k rpm. By then, what's the point? Eventually, it boiled down to me being somewhat limited to the t3 inlet and space limitations with my manifold without going crazy mounting the turbo elsewhere in the engine bay. I have wondered if the 1.06 A/R 6766 would be overkill.

How much did this setup cost and how much power are you making?
@kornybun

Newcomer Racing has a website to give a ballpark figure on what an engine like this would cost. I waited for sales over the period of a year and saved hundreds on parts. As far as power, I think I've found the limit of the 7th injector for my setup at 10psi as my afrs are all over the place. I'm going to change all six injectors and control fuel with an Apexi NEO. At 13-14 psi I hope to be around 400 wheel hp.

You should be at about 400hp anyway with that set with just 7 or 8 lbs of boost newcomers built it you have that boostwerks turbo manifold big intercooler what you have about 7/8 grand in it right now there split second timer plug and play for 4.0. Splitsec.com FTCI-201 or AEM EMS-4 standalone for 4.0 its what uma run either or the problem is finding a good tuner 😔

@@vee950 I had to hard wire my Split Second ecu since my Jeep is OBD1. Boostedtech.com offers remote tuning under their accessories page. They would probably include a base tune if you got the ecu from them.
