Clayton Offroad makes a rear trackbar that has a small bend in it to provide a little extra clearance. Seems like just enough to fit a full size 37" tire.

Yep! I I totally forgot about them when I was making this video. From what I gather however, you still run into the problem of the tire not fitting between the frame rails which I should’ve been a little bit more clear about.

I have the Clayton rear track bar and while it was snug we were able to get several 37×12.50s to fit including a Toyo. I was running the BFG 37s which run small but we wanted to test another brand. The Clayton Trackbar makes a big difference.

Clayton makes rear track bar with bend in it so my 37 fits. I do put spare in bed when off-roading though

Correct. I completely forgot about them when I was making this video. However, you are ultimately limited to the width between the frame rails, which is still too narrow for most true to size 37‘s. That is still a good solution for many though.

@@Ali_Mansour_Editor thanks for the video though! Still a tight fit slightly deflated. I have a Cooper ST Maxx, and it seems pretty true to size

I have the Clayton rear trac bar also and have a BFG AT3 on a TeraFlex wheel w/ 40 psi and extra room for more tire. True though the BFG AT3's do run smaller than stated size.

you could always just do one a little undersized... a little more work if your rear is out... just make sure only run it on front til you can make repair or replacement tire happen ....

If someone was dead set on running the. 37 maybe try running it flat and using a HD ratchet strap to pull the tire away from the track bar. Then air the tire up on the trail if you need it.

That might work, but I'm not sure you could get it between the framerails.

I actually spoke to some of the designers when the gladiator came out and it’s a non true to size 37 that works. I have a 37” K02 and it fits without touching fully inflated. But they don’t run true to size.

I would leave it on there. If they were worried about it from the factory, I would definitely be concerned about it with a larger tire sitting closer to it.

Is it a documented fact that wheel size influences tire diameter? I thought the same thing, but my Ridge Grappler skinnys are 33" on an 8.5 Method. I was thinking they'd be shorter because they're on a wider (too wide) wheel. The Steel belts can't flex that much can they?
@DrivingLine

In my experience if you take the same 12.50-inch wide tire and move it from a 7.5-inch-wide wheel to a 9-inch-wide wheel you will see that the tread flattens. I think it's more about how a narrow wheel will make the tire crown instead of laying flat. It's why you have to run a lower tire pressure to increase the contact patch when the rim is too narrow. I remember talking about this years ago. It's one of the reasons why they have approved rim widths for a given tire.

Use the RockKrawler traingulated 4 link to remove the track bar. I run 37s on my JT-R Diesel on a 5.5" lift, the track bar rubbing is still a problem, just do the right thing and the articulation will blow your mind over your aftermarket lift. Sorry, it's true. My 37s measure 36.64" so they will just barely squeak by, just don't.
