Seriously impressed with what the Liberty can do. I never thought it would do anything close to this..

I like the video... Libertys get a bad rap as 4x4’s because of the ifs but truth is anything with open diffs is going to be less capable then a modded rig. My son has an 05 Liberty with a Detroit locker in the rear and a 3 inch lift and it is a surprisingly capable little machine... I would prefer a solid front axle for better articulation but all on all for the type of wheeling that we do (much like your video) it works well for him.

Disconnect the front sway bar and get >1" more articulation. Makes quite a difference.

Great Vid! I too have a Liberty ... 2007. Great little rig. Bought it cheap as a project and found myself really liking it. I’ve owned many a Jeep in the past and am having a blast with this little Liberty! I lived in the mountains of Colorado for 15+ years. Mainly up in the Summit and Eagle County areas. Sure miss it! Again ... Thanks for sharing! SUB EARNED! 😎

My first Jeep Liberty was a 2003 3.7 V6. 4x4 Automatic transmission. No mods. My wife at the time and I went and drove King's Mountain in West Virginia. Nice trail nothing to difficult. Then her son and myself went across the Canaan loop. With street tires no air down. I kept up with lifed Jeep Wranglers. They were very impressed. I now own a 2005 Jeep Liberty Regrade. It has a sunroof. Seems to run ok. But it needs a lot of work. Where previous owners didn't take care of her very well. It has the 3.7 V6 and its 4x4. I'm single now how to get her back in shape for next spring. So I can do some more off roading. Mild no serious Rock Crawling. Stay Safe out there my friends.

Man...all this time I thought Liberties were the off brand/not real Jeeps that everyone spits on for some reason but seeing this Liberty in this video here today, gave me confidence in believing that if I were to ever go off roading in my Liberty with other Jeep connoisseurs one day regardless if they had the fancy wranglers and rubicons that mine would fit right in with the crowd.

It’s fun to see the look on Rubicon drivers’ faces when they see where this thing can go.

Having owned both it’s no surprise, the later Cherokee has an awesome engine, awesome axles, awesome transmission, all better than the comparable Wrangler, plus a factory roof rack and enough space for the family. Liberty compared to a JK UNLIMITED is less or equal.

I just bought an 05 Liberty with only 82K miles. Pristine inside and out. Day 2 I noticed a leak in the radiator which the dealer replaced. 3 weeks later after the AZ lemmon law expired, complete catastrophic transmission failure. $5400 out of pocket to rebuild. Taking it easy for now but looking forward to getting this jeep out for some light off road excursions.

I've got a 04 renegade liberty with 41,000 on it. I bought in New in 04. So it's got the dana44 axels front and rear with 3:73 gears. Just like my 04 Lj. Unfortunately being in ohio it's whole life rust is starting to catch up to it.
