Grand Cherokee QuadraLift front lowering Fix. Part 1 - Diagnosis The Dealership wanted over $700 just to diagnose this problem. I'll show you how to solve it for under $100.
Thank you for sharing this video. Just ordered my replacement parts for my overland summit.

Do you know if the oem rear shoks of a normal gc cherokee are compatible with the air suspension?

I doubt it.

Just a head up, all Overlands do this. When parked for an extended period of time, the front end drops. They did this to make it easier to get in and out of. Almost like a parked mode. When I first bought mine I was freaking out thinking it was broke and read a lot of places where people saw the same thing.

Blake, that's not true at all. When the front drops overnight, but the rear doesn't, that's a leak. You can set your OL to auto lower to entry level, but that is not what he was diagnosing.

Hey Tim i hope you and your jeep are doing well. I gotta ask you You had a leak. Did your compressor keep running. ? It doesn’t sound like it did or u wud of had to replace it because they blow out after they keep running for too long. Tim in the last year i replaced 4 compressors. They keep running after the car is turned off and they just blow out. front dropped down etc etc. is that what yours did?

My compressor did not self destruct. Fortunately the Jeep was not my only vehicle, so I only drove it a few times after I noticed the front end being deflated. Once I replaced the fittings, it has been good to go ever since.

@@timadams3647 i noticed your compressor was still in tact u got lucky because usually when u have a leak in the system the compressor keeps running to compensate for the air loss. My Jeep is doing ok now just had the 4th compressor installed its under warranty. But every time its the same thing The compressor keeps running it blows out and then the front drops. I must have a different problem than u had I’m good right now fingers crossed. But the jeep dealer cant figure it out. They replaced the whole compressor block system and even that one blew out. But I’m good right now hopefully it lasts. I like my jeep they are really nice. Thanks for the info Bud

I see a fairly common denominator in these QL air leaks appear to be the HEMI engine..... could a fairly reasonable person conclude that the QL system and components are the same as the V6 but the difference in the engine weight of the HEMI compared to the V6 is putting additional stress during the cycles and failing earlier? I see the other common denominator appears to be the front suspension. Can this leak occur on the rear suspension? I realize the answer is Yes it CAN but how common is it for the rear. All factors being equal as in no additional stress on the rear suspension....(towing, bike racks etc...). How common is it for the rears to fail/leak? Approximately what time/mileage and the biggest part of this question....... Is the repair procedure the same for rear leaks and is the rear suspension fittings as easily accessible as the front? My guess is NO but want to be sure. Confirm this is a leak in the QL that IS NOT associated with either the main compressor leak or lifting bag fail, tear, cut, puncture etc...? There was a video of a Australian owner that essentially removed and replaced the front upper fittings with upgraded ones that had a bit more flex and angle to reduce the risk of leaks due to accidental contact with the fittings while in the engine compartment for other work/inspection etc....

Stephen Cannon The rears look a little tougher as you need to be under the car
