Glad you decided to keep and paint the original flares. Third-party flares never seem to fit right.

Great video. I did the exact same thing in the exact same way on the OEM hard top of my 92’ YJ about 10 years ago. The only difference is I used a nappier roller to get more texture with the paint. I’ll be repainting it again soon since the Rustoleum has weathered & faded over the years. It now actually looks like your hard top did before you painted it.

Could have added the oil base flood to the oil base paint to make the paint flow better

I was reading one of the comments from this video. Did you say that the red TJ in the video is sitting on 35 inch tires right now but you said it was more capable with 33 inch tires? What size lift and do you have any offset? Also, where did you get those TJ directional lights?
@ATEMOFFROAD

Yes 35s and 4”+ 1 lift. There are many variables that will make the difference, as of now definitely more capable with 33s. The larger tires changes wheel base, gearing, and torque to the wheels, All things to consider when offroading. ideally you want the wheel base of an XJ on an under built tj. When you get to 35s a front locker and regear are going to be the best bangs for the buck to overcome the same obstacles with the larger tires. Lastly crawl ratio. The tjs come stock with a very numerically low crawl ratio, to increase this number to 100:1 (ideal) you would ultimately need an atlas 2 transfer case. See Sometimes larger tires are not the answer, it’s all about wheelbase on under built jeeps, but if you have the power to move larger tires. It works. 🍻🍻here are the turn signals www.amazon.com/dp/B0CJRP3VZ2/ref=cm_sw_r_as_gl_api_gl_i_89PNSCHFF9NV33CPAY8S?linkCode=ml2&tag=atemoffroad-20

Are you glad you went with the 35 inch tires? Also what gearing do you have?
@ATEMOFFROAD

So far love the 35s, but as the Jeep sits right now 33s seemed make the Jeep more capable. Phase 2 of the build starts now. I’ll be re gearing 2 5:13s front and rear lockers and possibly. If all works out I want the Atlas 2 transfers case but SL we shall first see where this goes. 🍻
