Massinissa Ibrahimi it’s not just money. Read up on how the company overworks and underpays their employees. Maybe top level employees do well with benefits and salaries. But the people who make his company run the way it does, down to the lowest position need to benefit as well. There’s a huge disparity in the CEO to employee ratio. Without his employees, the company wouldn’t be able to deliver and benefit financially the way it does. CEOs get all the credit, but employees make it happen. This is what many companies fail to acknowledge.

Massinissa Ibrahimi somewhere in the middle, where one can have a successful business that is owned in part by the employees, so they are vested in it and can benefit from its growth. These types of businesses exist around the world, even in small numbers in the US. We are entering a different global economy. Everything is shifting. So, we’ll see what kind of work will be available for those who don’t work for themselves or are financially free; whether they have a lot money or don’t need too much to live on. Overall, the way many people I personally know are choosing to live self-sufficiently, growing their own food, owning/sharing land with more people/families. Instead of all individually fending for themselves.

I think if he worried and took care of his employees, he would become richer. See that’s what American CEOs think. If they lower wages that they make more, which is true in the short term! However, could you imagine if he took a different approach and made his employees prosper? Long term he would create a brand that not only his employees believed in but was so attractive to consumers that they would do business solely with his company! I could name a couple, Chick-Fil-A, there are consumers that will wait in a 100 car line for a chicken sandwich! Why, because it is descent and fresh and they are greeted with a smile. Or Southwest Airlines in the past with Herb at the wheel. It’s sad that they don’t think this way because it would benefit the whole!

Yes Jeff, there's obsessive focus on the customer with Amazon. The focus says "How do we get more money from them so we can get even richer. Forget quality. Let's focus on draining their wallets." The same goes for anybody selling on Amazon. Amazon loves to charge sellers high fees and give shipping allowances that are totally unrealistic. Sellers need to pay extra for getting their products in front of buyers. If you don't buy ads from Amazon then it's unlikely customers will even see your products. If you don't pay Amazon to temporarily house some of your products until sold (so that Amazon will put your stuff into the "filled by Amazon" category) then your stuff keeps getting shoved lower and lower down the list of available products. To get it moved higher in the listings you have to lower your prices which cuts into your profits. No matter what happens, Amazon always comes out on top. You can count on that. That's why you're now the richest guy in the world. But you knew all this already. It's why and how you created Amazon to be. "Me before thee."

Regardless of you thoughts on Jeff , he’s company is by far , outstanding to do business with and also , the focus on customer satisfaction is paramount, all companies should take a look at their policies and procedures and they too could see success , they can get to you in a day , what the others ( Royal Mail) take weeks to do ,, I only use Amazon and only the others when it’s outta my hands , the guy is a genius and deserves success!!

From Wikipedia: A guillotine is an apparatus designed for efficiently carrying out executions by beheading. The device consists of a tall, upright frame with a weighted and angled blade suspended at the top. The condemned person is secured with stocks at the bottom of the frame, positioning the neck directly below the blade.

The people problem is alive and well in the gig economy which Amazon is a huge player, Sony I guess paid their staff well, treated them well, respected them, I have an Amazon warehouse less than a mile from me, hell on earth, I worked their two days, horrendous, I don'"t think that is how Sony built itself, same as the clip showed Jobs with Sony chairman, Apple in China treat their workers equally harshly, sad but true.

It was actually an American called Dr. Edward Deming who introduced Japan after the 2nd world war to a process of statistical analysis which led to tremendous innovation with regard to quality and productivity improvements. It's still a prestigious award today in Japan, called the Deming Prize. The philosophy of Kaizen which was introduced to Japan by Dr. Deming, was what led Japan to become a global market leader in electronics and automobiles.

Now in order to make amazon the company of quality, he must do three things. Invest in his employees, stop selling cheap products, refuse corporate welfare all without raising prices.
