Network TV debut and he owns the stage. Even today Jeff is an underrated genius.

That might be the best TV debut I've ever seen. I saw Brian Regan's TV debut 28 years ago on the short lived Pat Sajak late night talk show, and he completely blew my mind, hysterical. Brian's probably still my favorite stand up comic, but this performance by Jeffrey Ross was up there. Great energy and really great jokes! Jeffrey, you deserve whatever success you've achieved, you poor sad ugly bastard.

I remember watching this the night it aired, evidently, that was April 13, 1995. Anyway, I was in stitches. So much so that "I Miss Her Sometimes" is a poem I still recall. I didn't even know Jeff Ross was a big star now, I just found this based on a Google search for that poem. I'll have to catch up on his other stuff.

Little-known fact: Jeff Ross was a black belt in Tae Kwon Do at the age of eleven. He says, "How do you think I have the balls to talk to people like I do?". True story.

Jeff Ross wrote a poem called "I Miss Her Sometimes": I ran into my old girlfriend yesterday. And then I backed up and ran into her again. I miss her sometimes.
